Oksana SR/Summertime x Freudenfest
4/20/2009
Oliva SR's birth marked the point in time when our first "2nd" Seneca Ridge generation was born - a very exciting time for any breeder. We were blessed with a very noble dark bay filly - Oliva SR - and truly got what we had hoped for: a modern version of her dam, with a great uphill build, a larger frame and great movement without losing the type and special character of the Onia - Oksana SR line. In keeping with her mare line, she is easy to work with, a joy to handle, and fearless on trails. She is an absolute sweetheart who is current schooling first level.
Freudenfest was champion in Neumünster in 1999, and followed in his full brother Farinelli's footsteps, who was proclaimed as champion in 1996. Farinelli competed at S level dressage, while Freudenfest finished his performance test, won young horse classes and then was sent to stud, where he was trained to Grand Prix by his biggest admirer, Otto Langels.
Freudenfest's sire Tolstoi was premium in Neumünster, and he too never competed much, but sired several approved sons and very good daughters. Tolstoi's dam E.St. Tugend III is dam of the S level show jumpers Tiflis and Trenk Quattro (both by Flaneur), while her daughter Turandot IV is dam of the approved Turnus (by Zauberklang *E*) and daughter Titania is dam of the great sport horse sire Tycoon (by Donaumonarch).
Dam sire Amadeus was champion in Neumünster in 1977 and stood at Gestüt Hörstein for his entire career. His sire Kassius was exported to Australia and won the Australian Three Day Eventing National Championships. Amadeus was most known for his exceptional temperament, which he tended to pass on to his offspring. He is still fondly remembered at Hörstein.
Freudenfest's dam line is the direct one that leads back to the major sire Flaneur, his full brother Mahdi, and the approved advanced level dressage stallion Falkensee (NZ, AUS), Feingeist (ATA), Flugwind, Fasolt (ATA) and Fahnenträger II. Freudenfest has the following approved sons: NMS 2003 saw Ostpreusse, Godot, and the premium stallion Shavalou, and in 2007, premium Herzog von Heidenroth was approved. Freudenfest's oldest get are competing at S level in dressage and ** level eventing.
